  • 1 lb Hot Italian Sausage
  • 5 slices Turkey Bacon
  • 2 stalks Celery
  • 1/2 White Onion
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1/2 Red Pepper
  • 1/2 Green Pepper
  • 14.5 oz Diced Tomatoes
  • 6 oz Tomato Paste
  • 1 Tbsp Cumin
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tsp Paprika
  • 1 Tsp Oregano
  • 1 Tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium-high heat, fry the turkey bacon until crispy; set aside.
  2. In the same pot, brown the ground beef and hot sausage until fully cooked.
  3. Drain excess fat and add diced onion, celery, minced garlic, red and green peppers. Sauté for about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Stir in spices: cumin, garlic powder, paprika, oregano, and salt.
  5. Add diced tomatoes; simmer for about 20 minutes.
  6. Mix in tomato paste; reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for another 15-20 minutes until thickened.
  7. Return chopped turkey bacon to the pot before serving.
