  • 1 medium cauliflower
  • 1/3 cup rice flour
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/31/4 cup water
  • 1.5 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice apple vinegar
  • 12 tbsp Sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1" fresh ginger, finely minced
  • 45 cloves fresh garlic, finely minced
  • 23 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • sesame seeds
  • spring onions, sliced
  • sliced chilies

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the cauliflower into florets.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, cornstarch, garlic powder (if using), and water to form a smooth batter.
  3. Dip each cauliflower floret in the batter until well-coated and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Meanwhile, whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, rice apple vinegar, Sriracha, minced ginger, minced garlic, honey or maple syrup, cornstarch, and water in another bowl.
  6. Once baked, toss the hot cauliflower in the sticky sauce until evenly coated.
  7. Serve garnished with sesame seeds, spring onions, and sliced chilies.
