  • 1 teaspoon xanthan gum
  • 2 cups warm water (divided)
  • 1 ½ tablespoons maple extract
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine ½ cup of warm water and xanthan gum. Whisk until thickened and smooth.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the remaining warm water and Swerve brown sugar substitute. Heat until hot.
  3. Whisk in the xanthan gum mixture until fully blended and smooth; let it thicken to your desired consistency.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in maple extract and vanilla extract. Allow cooling before serving.
