Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak (sirloin, skirt, or flank)
  • 2 medium carrots
  • ½ lb asparagus
  • 1 medium red bell pepper
  • 1 medium yellow bell pepper
  • 6 oz snow peas
  • ¼ c soy sauce (or coconut aminos, or tamari)
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp fresh orange juice
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (or arrowroot powder)
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Slice the steak thinly against the grain after chilling it in the freezer.
  2. Combine all sauce ingredients in a bowl and whisk until smooth.
  3. Stir-fry the steak in a hot skillet until charred; remove and set aside.
  4. Sauté carrots and asparagus in the same skillet followed by bell peppers and snow peas.
  5. Add garlic, then return the steak to the skillet with the sauce; stir until thickened.
  6. Serve immediately over rice or noodles.
